You Can Now Search For Songs On Spotify Using Lyrics

Spotify has introduced a new feature to help you find that one song that has been stuck in your head. Spotify users can now search for songs by their lyrics on iOS and Android devices. After typing the lyrics into the app’s search bar, Spotify will suggest songs that may contain those lyrics. Songs with the exact or similar lyrics will be listed in the results with a ‘Lyrics match’ tag. However, Spotify is not the first music streaming app to introduce a feature like this. Searching by lyrics is something that Apple Music has allowed users to do since 2018. In June, Spotify introduced a real-time lyrics feature provided by Musixmatch to 26 different countries. This feature allows listeners to follow the lyrics or sing along with a song in real-time. Real-time lyrics is another feature that Apple Music introduced with the release of iOS 13 last year
