With the launch of the first 5G bus in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, southwest China, tourists arriving to the city can stay connected to the transportation system and benefit from the range of entertainment services that the bus provides to its passengers. On board this high-tech bus, China Telecom offers a 5G application with a series of panoramic maps, live broadcasts, video conferences as well as long-term treatments. Zhao Xuei, a China Telecom expert, said that those traveling on the bus can now benefit from the 5G wireless network and watch television broadcast programs in ultra-high definition, in 4K resolution, and they can also watch live broadcasts. Kasoyi stressed that residents can experience the wide range of services provided by the bus. "We are now seeing the panoramic view of the Maotai Liquor Factory 200 kilometers away with a 360-degree camera mounted on an unmanned aerial vehicle. Now we can see the road outside the factory and the factory gate," he said, adding, "This shows the potential of this system. Residents can also connect their mobile phones to the 5G Wi-Fi network via these facilities, so they can watch movies and enjoy the high-speed download network." The modern bus, which began operating late last month, caught the attention of passengers due to its advanced equipment. "On the 5G bus, we can see 4K ultra-high definition video, it's better than watching TV at home. We can also experience the virtual world," said a local resident, while another commented, "I'm amazed by the facilities on this bus." 100 5G base stations will be inaugurated during the China International Big Data Industry Expo, scheduled to be held in Guiyang on May 26 and continuing until May 29, with the aim of providing a better experience of the leading technology.
