Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has become the Premier League’s most prolific scorer in UEFA competitions, surpassing Thierry Henry. The Egyptian netted in injury time against Toulouse to move onto 43 goals in Europe for the Reds, above Henry’s 42 for Arsenal. The 31-year-old has also reached the milestone in 17 matches fewer. However, he is yet to pass the Frenchman’s overall tally on the continent. Henry scored 58 goals for Arsenal, Monaco and Juventus, with Salah on 51 for Liverpool, AS Roma, Chelsea, Fiorentina, and Basel. Salah, who averages a goal every 41 minutes in the Europa League in 2023, could still break Henry’s total amount this season if his hot streak continues. Meanwhile, Liverpool moved one step closer to the Europa League knockout stages with the 5-1 win over Toulouse.
