Argentine President Mauricio Macri visited the Argentine national team players on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, and wished them good luck before they left the country to participate in the World Cup tournament that will be held in Russia. Macri bid farewell to the national football team players shortly before they headed to Buenos Aires airport to fly to Barcelona to begin the final stage of the grueling World Cup training. Macri headed to the AFA Training Center, where he was received by the center's president, Claudio Tapia, and the Argentine team's coach, Jorge Sampaoli. During the meeting, the captain of the national team, the most prominent player, Lionel Messi, expressed his gratitude for the visit.
