Mont Saint-Michel, or Mount Saint-Michel, is one of the most prominent landmarks of France and the world. This small stone island in Normandy, which has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1979, has been suffering from overwhelming loneliness and isolation since the start of quarantine measures after the outbreak of the Corona virus. From an island visited annually by more than 2.5 million visitors, especially on weekends, spring and summer, to an almost deserted island whose majestic church and picturesque bay surround it, which have earned it fame and the admiration of millions around the world. So that the residents of the island remain the only witnesses to the magic of the place over the past months. Since May 11, it has become possible again to visit the island and walk through its alleys, but with strict adherence to safety instructions, the first of which is wearing masks and following a pre-determined itinerary and direction.
