Thousands of Saudis took to the streets on Monday to celebrate the country's 89th National Day, a week after the attack on one of the largest oil facilities in the world. The Saudis expressed their confidence in their government to resolve the situation and said that the country will overcome these security challenges that it has been facing recently thanks to the capabilities it possesses. The attacks on Aramco's main crude oil processing facility on September 14 shut down 5.7 million barrels of Saudi Arabia's daily oil production, representing more than 5% of the world's daily crude oil production. The United States, Saudi Arabia and Britain blame Iran for the attacks, while Tehran denies the accusation and warned of retaliatory strikes, which has increased tensions in the region. The Iranian president said that his country will advance its rival security alliance in the Persian Gulf, as the United States sends more troops to Saudi Arabia and heads its regional military alliance.
